Our promise
Every rated operator receives a dated scope statement covering the checks actually performed and the limits of the available evidence. We separate official-source checks, interface observations, author-reported transactions and independently retained primary evidence. Current availability is never treated as permanent or as proof of a Somali licence.
Evidence labels
A completed transaction is not automatically independently verifiable. Each payment record is labelled by what survives:
- Primary evidence retained: dated operator and destination records can be reviewed and reconciled.
- Author-reported reconstruction: the author supplies amounts, dates and outcomes, but original receipts or screenshots are unavailable.
- Interface or official-source check: a method, rule, offer or licence was visible, but no completed transaction is claimed.
The July 2026 Q3 register is an author-reported reconstruction because the source files were lost with a storage device. We publish the rows for transparency, but do not present them as independently auditable proof or a payout guarantee.
Testing methodology
For each operator we cover, we run through the following checks:
- Registration: inspect the available flow, promo-code field, published KYC requirements and geo-blocking signals without claiming a completed funded account.
- Payments: record the Somali mobile-money methods displayed in the interface and compare them with public limits and terms; availability is not treated as a completed transaction.
- Sportsbook: inspect navigation, visible market depth and live-betting controls on relevant football events.
- Casino / Aviator: verify the public game listing and provider attribution without claiming a real-money session.
- Withdrawal and KYC: review published requirements, limits and interface paths; report transaction outcomes only with an explicit evidence label and scope.
- Support: record public contact channels and the help material available for common account questions.
- Mobile experience: inspect the responsive site, app route, file-source warnings and behaviour under a constrained browser profile.
How we score
Our overall rating (out of 10) is a weighted combination of:
- Payout evidence (25%) — clarity of withdrawal rules, documented complaint signals and the strength of available transaction evidence
- Somali-market fit (20%) — mobile-money depth, currency support, language
- Sportsbook depth (15%) — markets, odds quality, live betting
- Mobile UX (15%) — official app route, responsive behaviour and friction in the account flow
- Bonus and promo terms (10%) — fairness of rollover, transparency
- Customer support (10%) — responsiveness, language coverage
- Compliance and licensing (5%) — Curacao status, parent-company transparency
We re-check rated operators at least quarterly. If a score changes by more than 0.3 points, we update the page, note the date and state whether the check was desk/interface-only or included a documented transaction.
Affiliate disclosure
Some of the operator links on this site may earn us a commission if you register and deposit through them. This is how independent review sites typically fund their work.
Crucially: commission rates from the operators we cover are similar enough that they cannot rationally bias our rankings. The operator that pays us the most is not always our top pick. When two operators pay similar commissions, the better product wins.
If we ever do recommend an operator primarily because of commission, we will disclose that explicitly on the relevant page. We have not done so to date.
What we will not do
- We do not accept payment to inflate ratings.
- We do not publish a rating without a dated test-scope statement.
- We do not endorse "predictor apps" for Aviator or any other game. Cryptographic RNG is not predictable; anyone selling predictions is selling a scam.
- We do not promise winning strategies. Betting is entertainment, not income.
- We do not target readers under 18, and we do not market to people experiencing gambling harm.
Corrections policy
If we publish something inaccurate — a wrong bonus amount, a misstated payment method, an outdated regulatory claim — we want to know. Email hello@betsomali.com with the page URL and the specific error.
When we update a page to correct a factual error, we add a note at the bottom of the page describing the change and the date. We do not silently overwrite history.
Responsible gambling
If betting is causing harm to you or someone you know, please reach out to BeGambleAware or GamCare. Every operator we review offers self-exclusion tools (24 hours to permanent). Use them. There is no shame in stopping.
