Our approach to bylines
BetSomali is launching with a small editorial team. Each operator review or pillar guide is produced by one writer, fact-checked by a second, and signed off before publication. Bylines and biographies appear at the foot of each individual review as we publish them.
We do not auto-generate articles or use ghost-bylines for traffic. Every page on this site has a human author who has personally tested the operator or platform being reviewed.
Roles on the team
Lead Editor
Sets coverage priorities, signs off on rankings, and is the point of contact for operator partnerships and corrections. Email: hello@betsomali.com.
Reviews Writer
Tests operators end-to-end (registration, deposit via Somali mobile money, sportsbook, withdrawal), produces the long-form review, and maintains the rolling list of changes to bonus terms, app versions, and KYC requirements.
Payments & Compliance Reviewer
Verifies mobile-money flow accuracy (EVC Plus, Zaad, Sahal, eDahab), monitors Curacao licensing status quarterly, and fact-checks legal-status and gambling-tax claims.
Bilingual Editor (Somali / English)
Edits and proof-reads Somali-language content. Native Somali speaker. Ensures terminology around maysir, sharrita, and mobile-money operators (Hormuud, Telesom, Somtel) is accurate and culturally appropriate.
Author bylines (rolling)
Individual author profiles will be linked here as we publish reviews under their names. We do this gradually rather than padding the team page with stock biographies.
For media, partnership, or correction inquiries that need to reach a specific person, write to hello@betsomali.com and we will route the message internally.
Editorial standards
Our writers and editors operate under our public Editorial Policy. That document covers testing methodology, scoring weights, affiliate disclosure, and our corrections process. If anything we publish appears inconsistent with that policy, please tell us.
